Pakistan Coast Guards on Wednesday claimed to have seized four kilogram of fine quality opium and two kilogram of hashish from Super Highway. Approximate value of the recovered drug in the international market is around US 58,000 dollars or PKR 9.28 million. A spokesman of Pakistan Coast Guards said on credible information from intelligence sources, that during a search operation at Super Highway check post, 4kg of Opium was recovered.

In another operation during checking of a public bus, the officials recovered 2kg of hashish from a passenger. The bus was on its way to Karachi from Peshawar. The drug trafficker along the Hashish has been taken under custody. Further investigations and legal proceedings are underway, spokesman concluded.
